London Festival of Architecture: Unchartered Territory

  • Build Studios 203 Westminster Bridge Road London, England, SE1 7FP United Kingdom (map)

"The new Ted Talks of today and tomorrow"- our live in-person events.

Our moderator and chair Annette Amanda Oyèkúnlé Fisher, a top architect, influencer and thought leader will be speaking with up to 7 diverse panellists from across the industry who think outside the box. Mei-Yee Man Oram Access and Inclusive Lead at Arup and Jenny McLaughlin Lead for Heathrow's Disability Network are speakers, others to be confirmed.

We will be using a Pecha Kucha style debate with our panel of women and other construction professionals from underrepresented groups.

What is Pecha Kucha?

Pecha Kucha is a global storytelling platform that celebrates people, passion, and creative thought. To share ideas and connect with others visually, concisely, and memorably. Its redefining authentic human connectivity through inclusive social engagement and technology.

How does this relate to the theme?

As construction professionals from diverse backgrounds, we’re challenging the idea of in common both literally and metaphorically. Exploring what makes us the same and what makes different. Do our similarities far outweigh our difference?

Why Unchartered Territory?

Taking the theme through "unchartered territory" to explore this in its widest context to find blue ocean opportunities that can transcend traditional barriers to success in construction and other related fields.
