FAQS

Do Candidates pay to register?

No, it’s free for candidates to register, simply fill in the online form to apply, and we’ll receive it by email. We’ll respond, and request your CV and portfolio and then invite you for an introduction..

What happens at the Candidate’s introduction?

We use this short meeting to get to know you and find out what your aspirations are in the profession. We aim to help you get crystal clear on what you want, and how you intend to further your career. This helps us figure out who’ll be your most likely future employer.

We’ll make introductions, and encourage you to approach some directly. Then it’s up to you and them whether you move forward to get a confirmed placement.

Is Candidate mentoring provided?

Yes, we’ll provide mentoring for all our candidate placements, during your first year of employment. We do this via quarterly reviews with you, providing a safe space for you to air any issues and find solutions.

Candidates who also join our “Let’s Build Club” are automatically enrolled in Let’s Build Academy. When you join our community, you access mentorship and build your career! Do Practices pay to register?

Yes, practices pay a nominal annual subscription to join. Simply click the practice button above and fill in the application form. Then you’ll be taken to the payment page and QR code. .

A percentage of all earnings goes towards a “Lets Build Academy Fund” to support our diverse candidates at University.

How does the subscription work for practices?

Once you’ve signed up with us, we’ll provide you with a limited number of candidates within the 12 month period. You’ll tell us the skills and experience needed for your projects so that we give you access to relevant candidates. Our candidates also get to choose their preferred practice based on size, sector and type of organisation, and their inclusive practices.

What are the benefits to practices as subscribers?

  • You become immediately recognised as an Inclusive Organisation encouraging a diverse workforce.

  • You’ll join our community of Inclusive Organisations and benefit from shared knowledge and experiences.

  • You’ll get access to Lets Build Club members (Gen Zs and Millennials) through regular paid advertising.

  • Our Candidates get to apply to their preferred Inclusive organisations for work opportunities. Those with the best inclusive practices will attract the best diverse candidates.

  • You’ll get access to 1-on-1 coaching to improve HR operations and inclusive hiring practices from our list of Inclusive consultants.

  • You’ll have opportunities to participate as speakers at Let’s Build Events.

  • You’ll subscribe to our newsletter

What is the size of the pool of candidates?

We’re proud to share that we’ve established valuable connections with some top notch universities! We currently have links with not just 1, but 3 prestigious universities- Westminster University, The Bartlett School and The London School of Architecture. And that’s just the beginning!

We’ve also got Let’s Build Club to attract Gen Zs and Millennials to our community to help build their careers. We’re steadily expanding our network through these awesome partnerships and other direct connections with the industries finest. We’re targeting the 1000’s of graduates and candidates who we know that need our help to further their careers.

What are the processes involved for practices?

Stage 1. Simply register with us by clicking the practice button above, complete the form and make your payment.

Stage 2. We’ll immediately acknowledge your registration and give you access to relevant candidates. Your annual fee helps us with administration costs, to provide you with a steady stream of diverse candidates over the course of a year.

Stage 3. We’ll provide mentoring and soft skills training for all of our candidates through quarterly reviews via online meetings and phone.

Stage 4. You’ll be joining a community of many organisations we’re targeting who want to make a difference!

Who is Let’s Build Academy not for?

  1. If you’re an organisation who only hires staff that mirror their own image, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation.

  2. If you’re a candidate who doesn’t need the help or advice or networks we provide to secure work, or you don't need to develop the confidence needed to win at interviews with employers who don’t look like you.

What happens if a candidate doesn’t work out?

If it doesn’t work out within 90 days, we’ll replace the Candidate free of charge.
